Announcements for December 31
Friday, December 29th, 2006- Year end Thanksgiving Gathering will be held tonight at 9pm. Do take this to come to share and listen to one another’s thanksgiving testimonies. Refreshment will be served.
- Holy Communion Joint Service will be held next Sunday (Jan. 7) at 10:30am. There will be NO English worship services / Sunday School.
- English Congregation Winter Camp, “Rated R”, will be held next weekend at Camp Iawah at Godfrey. School bus will leave Jaffray’s parking lot on Friday (Jan. 5) at 6pm. Boarding begins at 5:30pm. Passenger manifest (for school bus and car pool) is posted on the English ministry bulletin board in the West-foyer. For further questions, please speak with Crystal Ng (crystal_ng@sympatico.ca).
- Those who have not paid for the Winter Camp are asked to do so IMMEDIATELY after the English service in the west foyer. Please look for Vivian Ng / Dorinda Mui.
- Teens Conference 2007 registration forms are now available on the usher’s table (west foyer). Junior conference (Grade 8-10) will be held from March 12-13 and Senior conference (Grade 11-12) from March 14-15. Early bird is $50 (before February 7, 2007). - Deadline for submitting departmental reports of the 2006 Church Annual Report is set on Jan 7, 2007 (next Sunday). Please give it to elder Jody Chu or church office.
- Community Tutoring services will begin on Sunday January 21. Various musical and academic classes for Grade 1-12 students are offered. All tutees from the last term must sign up again for the new term. It is on a first-come-first-served basis. Currently there are 7 spots left for the children of parents who attend Jaffray. Sign up begins on Tuesday, January 2 at the church office. It can be done by in person, phoning (416.282.2063) or emailing (office@tjcac.org).
- If there are any who would like to make offerings for flower arrangement in one of Sunday Services in the 1st half of 2007 as a way to express thanksgiving to God, please sign up on the chart on the usher’s table outside the sanctuary. Each offering for flowers cost $70.
