Toronto Jaffray Chinese Alliance Church

• Aletheia, Hosanna & Mosaic Fellowship: There will be no official program on August 3 (Friday).
• Pre-Retreat package (e.g. maps, packing list, etc.) is available for pick up at the registration table on the office ground floor. It may also be downloaded at http://www.tjcac.org/english/summer_retreat_2007/.
• Today is a busy day for Jaffray’s softball teams! .COM will be playing a double-header, 4 and 6 pm @ Beverley Glen (Warden & Finch); Collision will be playing @ 4pm @ York Mills (York Mills & Bayview), and Awakening @ 4 am @ Wigmore (Victoria Park & Lawrence). Please come out and cheer on the players!
• Children Ministry Committee will be meeting on August 11 (Sat) in the Boardroom from 9:30-11:30am.
• Church Membership Meeting will be held on August 12 at 12:15pm, right after Chinese service/English Sunday School. We will elect 2 church members to the Elders Nominating Committee. All church members are required to attend. The agenda of the meeting and a list of active church members are posted on the eastside bulletin board upstairs. If there are additions to the agenda, please submit to elder Daniel Siu in writing before the two services (Aug 5) for announcement.
• Our Church Summer Conference “Love God, Love others” (Aug 4-6, Sat-Mon) at Sheridan College, Oakville with Dr. Stephen Lee and Rev. Calvin Fong. Do prepare to attend. Worship service that Sunday at Jaffray Church will be canceled. You are welcome to attend the joint service at 10:15am at the church retreat.
• The case of Fountain Head was recently consulted with the external auditor PKF Hill who confirmed in writing that the funds held up in 2006 should be released upon approval of charity registration # by the government.
• Trail Mix picture orders are here! Those who have ordered pictures may pick them up outside the Fellowship Hall. We will no longer be accepting picture orders.
• Our brother, Alex Leung, has been accepted into Southern Baptist Seminary. He will be leaving for Kentucky next week in preparation for his M.Div studies in September. Please remember him in our prayers.
• Pastor Yung is on holiday from July 17 (Tue) to 31 (Tue).

This week, Hosanna will be having Bible Study on 1 Corinthians 10:1-6;12-13, a lesson on Israel’s History. We encourage all of you to read this passage before coming so you’ll get a good grasp on what this Bible Study would be about.

• Aletheia program: Bring friends and chicken wings for this Friday’s bonfire night (but maybe not the chicken wings)! See you at seven… please check your emails for further details.
• Hosanna program: BBQ/Waterfright Night this Friday at 8pm.
• Hosanna Bible Study Leaders are asked to meet with Pastor Arthur in his office at 12pm for prestudy
• Our brother, Alex Leung, has been accepted into Southern Baptist Seminary. He will be leaving for Kentucky next week in preparation for his M.Div studies in September. There will be a commissioning service next Sunday (July 29). Please come and join us to celebrate his new journey.

As was announced before, since there will be a $4,000 deficit in our Church Retreat budget, we can make special offering today towards such a need.
