- Aletheia Fellowship : God’s planet: A program that’s like the hymn This is my Father’s World minus the melody and word-imagery. What is left, you ask? Come find out on Friday, we answer. Check your email for further details.
- Hosanna Fellowship : DON’T BRING BAD FOOD! 8PM @ Church :D
- Junior Choir practice is cancelled due to the Victoria Day Celebration. Regular practice will resume on June 1st.
- Lunch program will be held today in conjunction with the celebrations. English fellowship groups are responsible for set up and clean up.
- In response to the earthquake disaster in China, the Board of Elders has decided to redirect the funds raised from today’s celebration from Trail Mix Scholarships to support the relief efforts in China. The church will now absorb the cost of the scholarships. Donations can be made in the East Foyer from 10:20-10:30 and 12-12:30pm, as well as at the food ticket booth in the parking lot from 3:30-5:30pm. If you wish to donate items of value for the auction, please bring them to Pastor Yung’s office from 12-12:30pm. Andy Pak will register the items for you.
- A new Sunday School term will be starting in June. Please fill in your preferred class choices on the bulletin insert, and hand them to Sophia Kwan. Today is the last day to sign up and ensure you are assigned to your class of choice! Also, Sunday School evaluations for this past term will be handed out during classes today. Please complete your evaluations and give them to Sophia Kwan.
- Trail Mix Children’s Day camp will be held from July 14-25 this year! Registration forms for campers and application forms for camp staff can be obtained at the Trail Mix table outside the Fellowship Hall. - Longlac STM: If you haven’t handed in your application for Longlac, please hand it in to Dan Trinh no later than next sunday. If you still have questions please speak with Dan or Melissa Leung.
- Plans for Jaffray’s 20th Anniversary is already in motion! We are currently putting together a scrapbook. If you have any meaningful photos of Jaffray, please pass them onto Patrick Ng (patngwk@gmail.com) or Stanley Pak (Stanley.Pak@unisen.ca).
- Alfred Mo, Acting Chair of the Board, will be away on vacation from May 21 to June 14, 2008. During his absence, please contact Alex Cheng for urgent matters requiring Alfred’s attention. Other Board members will also be contacted.
- The government has approved the hiring of two Summer Students. Job postings are on the English Bulletin board in the west foyer and outside the Fellowship Hall. Please contact Pastor Arthur if you are interested in applying for the positions.
- We are delighted to announce the wedding of Herman Mo and Sharon Chu. The wedding will be held on Monday May 19 at 1pm at Markham Chinese Alliance Church (1 Chatelaine Dr., Markham). All are welcomed to join the ceremony. May the Lord bless their new life together and bring glory to His Name.
