3. Church Spring Clean-up Day, May 2 (Sat). There are signup sheets at both entrances and it is only to help us to prepare cleaning supplies. Walk-ins are welcome too! Please set aside time to participate in keeping God’s house tidy.

4. A 10:30am Joint Sunday Service will be held on May 3 to welcome Jaffray’s senior pastor, Rev. Paul Ting, and the English intern, Ricky Yu. Sunday School will be held at 9 AM. Pastor Ting’s official installation service will be held on June 28.

5. Lunch program in May will be scheduled on the first Sunday, May 3. All brothers and sisters are invited to stay for lunch and greet Rev. Ting and his family. The congregation will have a chance to get to know him through a brief informal dialogue. All brothers will do the setting up and clean up of the lunch program.

6. “A Taste of Spring”, our Victoria Day Rally will be held on Sunday, May 17 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a special BBQ lunch, followed by live band, games booths, specialty food stalls and auctions (all proceeds will be for Trail Mix Children’s Camp). Please plan to come! If you like to donate items for auctions, please give them to Ricky Wong and Margaret Pak before May 10.

7. Trail Mix Children’s Day camp will be held from August 3-28 this year! Tyndale Association of Spiritual Directors (TASD) presents the following events. “God-Image” by Dr. Duncan Westwood on April 25; “Larry Crabb Conference” from May 29-30; “Franciscan Spirituality in Spiritual Direction” by Wendy Passmore on September 19; and “Soul Art” by Cathy Nguen in late Fall 2009. 2. Today is the deadline for registration for this upcoming softball season. Cost is $50 per player, first come first serve. Please register at the west-foyer usher’s table after the service. 3. CTI Evangelical Weekend - On Friday April 24 at 8:00pm and Sunday April 26 at 9:00am, Carpenters Tools International will be coming to play at Jaffray. During those two days, Pastor Scott Bissell and Dan Trinh will be speaking about faith, sin, guilt and the cross. We highly encourage you to invite your non-Christian friends. Please fill out a prayer card and gve it to Catherine Ngai or Jessica Chin so the Outreach team can start praying for them. Prayer meeting for this event will happen on Wednesday at 8:00pm at the Church Office.

8. The Board of Elders have approved the hiring of Ricky Yu as a seminary intern for the English ministry starting in May. Ricky will be under the supervision of Pastor Arthur and will serve mainly in the children / youth ministries. Ricky is currently a student at Ambrose Seminary in Calgary. He will be with us from May to December 2009.
