FAMILY MATTERS

1. Welcome to our English worship. If you are a visitor with us today or this is your first time at Jaffray Church, please take time to complete th e new comers’ card and let us know about you.

2. All baptized Christians are welcome to partake the Holy Communion.

3. Starting September 2, prayer meetings will be held on Wednesdays from 8-9pm in the church office.

4. Aletheia Fellowship: SMALL GROUPS! Your small group leader will contact you during the week. Keep checking your emails!

5. Hosanna Fellowship: GRAD NIGHT! It’s time to say goodbye to our fellow Grade 11’s :( So come on out to CHURCH! 8PM! It’s going to be a fun filled night!

6. A new Sunday School term will be starting in September! Please select your choices in the bulletin insert and hand the form back to Holly Chau, Sophia Kwan, Jonathan Mui or Stephanie Yip today after service. If you have any questions, please speak with Holly.

7. Junior Choir 2009 registration has begun. Registrations are available at the east-foyer outside the sanctuary, as well as online (http://www.tjcac.org/english/children/choir/). Registration forms are due September 6th, 2009. If you have any questions, please speak with Dorinda Mui (dorrrie@gmail.com).

8. English Prayer Net has begun! If you are committed to praying for Jaffray, please sign up with Bora Gunn (prayer@tjcac.org) as soon as possible. Bora will email you weekly prayer items so you can pray even if you cannot make it to prayer meetings.

9. The financial statement as of June 30, 2009 has been posted on the board near the east entrance. If brothers and sisters have any questions they can check with elder Patrick So

1. Devotional Materials “TODAY” Sep-Oct, can be picked up outside the sanctuary.

2. Frosh ConneXion 2009 will be held on Thursday August 27 from 6-9pm at Toronto Chinese Methodist Church. It is a networking event designed to connect incoming first-year university students to campus fellowships across Ontario. It is free for first-year students, $5 for upper year students. BBQ is included. For more information, please contact fx@afc-ca.org

3. Toronto Resound is a showcase of performances and artistic expression celebrating the stories that have come out of AFC’s (Ambassadors for Christ) student ministry. It will be held at the Fairview Library Theatre on Tuesday September 1 at 7pm. For tickets please call AFC @ 416.494.7171.

4. Teens Conference 2010 is looking for volunteers! Teens Conference is an annual high school student event that happens during March Break to get this generation excited for Jesus. Do not delay! For more information, visit: www.afc-ca.org/tc2010/

6. In last week’s Membership Meeting, we have elected brothers Daniel MT Wong & Patrick Ng as members of the Elders Nominating Committee. Together with the two Elder Board representatives, Alfred Mo & Peter So, and Elder Board Chair, Rev. Paul Ting, they form the 2010 Elders Nominating Committee. Please pray for them.

10. We are delighted to announce the wedding of our church members:

    a) Ivan Mak & Melissa Yuen would like to invite you to attend their marriage on 21st Aug 2009 (Friday) at 2 pm. The ceremony will take place at Lawrence Park Community Church, 2180 Bayview Ave.,Toronto

    b) Enoch Tang and Shirley Yip will be married Saturday, August 22, 2009, 2pm at Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church (139 Silver Star Blvd). All are invited to attend.

    May the Lord wonderfully bless these new couples in their lives together, bringing glory to His Name.
