Baptismal Classes will be held on Friday November 27 from 5-8pm (Pastor Arthur’s office). Interviews will be held on Friday December 11 from 7-8pm.
The Annual General Meeting will be held next Sunday Nov. 29, at 12:15pm, for the election of the 2010 elders and approval of the 2010 fiscal budget. The six (6) nominees put forth by the Nominating Committee are Caleb Chau, Belinda Cheng, Herman Mo, Danny Soo, Daniel MT Wong, David Wong. The proposed Agenda and Active Membership List have been posted on the Elders Board Bulletin Board. The proposed 2009 budget is available for picking up outside the sanctuary. If there are questions regarding the membership list, please contact Alfred Mo. Please remember these meetings and the nominees in your prayers. A Pre-AGM consultation meeting will be held today at 12:15pm at Room B7. All members are encouraged to attend.
Junior Choir has practice next week in the choir room from 12:15-12:45pm.
A new Sunday School term will be starting in December! Please indicate your choices on the bulletin insert, and hand your forms to Holly Chau, Jonathan Mui, or Stephanie Yip today after service. If you have any questions, please contact Holly.
Winter Retreat will be held at Fair Haven from Jan 1-3rd, 2010. Cost: $90 for ages 12+, $45 for ages 5-11, $0 for ages 4 and under. Registration is open now through Dec. 13th. Forms can be found in the West foyer after today’s service and at www.tjcac.org/english/winter_retreat .
Chinese Sunday School ministry presents: “My hand writes my heart”. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to submit any paintings, poems, pictures, short stories, or arts, they create out of a devotional experience with Christ this past year. The work must be no more than 8.5”X11”, Christian-faith based, and original. Please submit entries by December 13 to Ernest Chu, Patrick So, or Carmen Li. These works will be published by January 2010.
During the month of December, Caring Department will be collecting non-perishable food (such as baby powder milk and baby food, canned meat, canned fish, canned beans, canned fruits and vegetables, spaghetti and sauce, boxed milk, peanut butter, rice) for the food bank. We invite all to bring them to church and drop them off at the collecting boxes at the East and West entrances.
