FAMILY MATTERS

  1. Welcome to our worship. If you are a visitor with us today or this is your first time at Jaffray Church, please take time to complete the new comers’ card and let us know about you.

  2. All baptized Christians are welcome to partake the Holy Communion.

  3. Prayer meetings are held on Wednesdays from 8-9pm in the church office.

  4. Year end Thanksgiving Gathering will be held on Dec 31(Thursday)at 9pm. Do take this opportunity to come and encourage one another through thanksgiving testimonies. Refreshment will be served. Those planning to share please register outside the foyer for proper scheduling.

  5. English Winter Retreat will be held at Fair Havens Bible Conference Center (Beaverton, ON) January 1st-3rd, 2010. Those who are not able to attend the entire retreat are invited to come in on Sunday for worship (11am). There will be NO English Worship / Sunday School at Jaffray. However, Children Ministry will run as usual. Pastor Matthew will be at Jaffray on Sunday. Winter Retreat information sheet can be obtained on the usher’s table in the west-foyer.

  6. During the month of December, Caring Department will be collecting non-perishable food (such as baby powder milk and baby food, canned meat, canned fish, canned beans, canned fruits and vegetables, spaghetti and sauce, boxed milk, peanut butter, rice) for the food bank. We invite all to bring them to church and drop them off at the collecting boxes at the East and West entrances.

  7. In the month of Dec. and Jan. Children Ministry will be collecting donations of old Children NIV Bibles for our children to use during Sunday School and Promiseland. Any donations can be given to Kimberly Pak.

  8. If there are any who would like to make offerings for flower arrangement in one of Sunday Services in the 1st half of 2010 as a way to express thanksgiving to God, please sign up on the chart on the usher’s table outside the sanctuary. Each offering for flowers cost $80.

  9. New 2010 Church calendar has been printed. Each family takes one copy, please.

FAMILY MATTERS

  1. Welcome to our Joint Worship. If you are a visitor with us today or this is your first time at Jaffray Church, please take time to complete the new comers’ card and let us know about you.

  2. We welcome the following brothers and sisters joining our church family through baptism today: Wei Ching Kwan, Oi Chee Chan, Dorisy MoYee Liu, Carmen Xie, Carson Yam, Wendy Tan, Stephanie Yip. Also we sincerely welcome Vivian Poon as she transfers her church membership here.

  3. Prayer meetings are held on Wednesdays from 8-9pm in the church office.

  4. There will not be Aletheia or Hosanna program this Friday.

  5. Christmas Eve Service will be held this Thursday at 8pm in the sanctuary. Come and join us for an evening of music, performance and message. Please invite your friends and family to come join us as we celebrate the coming of Jesus! Invitation bookmarks can be obtained in the East Foyer.

  11. Brothers and sisters who need to claim expenses for the church in 2009, the dead line is Dec 27. Please submit the check requisition form with departmental elder approval signature to Pia Liu or Sharon Chu’s mail slot before Dec 27.

  1. Alliance Women Ministries presents “Ladies’ Day Apart – Shock Proofing the Troops! Dealing with the Stress and Busyness of Life” with Connie Driedger at Quinte Alliance Church, Belleville on Saturday April 24, 2010 from 9:30-3:30pm. For more information, please email Olga Greeley at olga@sea2sea.ca. The cost before April 1 is $35, afterwards is $45.
