FAMILY MATTERS
Praise the Lord! We thank our District Superintendent, Rev. Dr. John Healey, for officiating the installation service of our new senior pastor, Rev. Paul Ting. We also like to thanks and welcome Rev. Dr. Francis Tam, executive secretary of CCACA, for attending the service. Please continue to pray for Rev. Ting’s service at Jaffray.
Welcome to our joint service. If you are a visitor with us today or this is your first time at Jaffray Church, please take time to complete the new comers’ card and let us know about you.
Fellowship luncheon will be held right after service. Men’s Group & Yin Lai Ladies’ Group will do the setting up and clean up of the lunch program. In order to minimize the amount of garbage to be thrown out, please not to waste food at lunch and scrape the plate clean before putting into garbage bin.
Starting Tuesday June 30, English prayer meetings will be held on Tuesdays from 8-9pm in the Church Office.
Hosanna Fellowship: MOVIE NIGHT! 8PM at CHURCH! Come out and watch a good old film with us :)
Church picnic will be held on Saturday July 11 from 9:30am-4pm at Petticoat Creek park (Pickering). Group activities will be held from 9:30-12pm. Lunch will be from 12-1pm, followed by free time. Please invite your friends and family to come! Please register TODAY in the foyer after service so we can prepare for food accordingly. More information can be found in the flyer.
TrailMix Summer Camp registration is well underway! Registration forms are available outside the sanctuary, and you may submit completed forms to Pastor Gunn or Grace Hsu. Newcomers and friends will receive a special rate of only $50/week during the camp. Parents, we have a great opportunity to evangelize so please spread the word to your family and friends!
The commission for Longlac will be held on Tuesday, July 7 during prayer meeting at 8-9pm instead of Sunday, July 5. The trip will be from July 11-26. Please come to support the team and send them off through prayer!
If there are any who would like to make offerings for flower arrangement in one of Sunday Services in the 2nd half of 2009 as a way to express thanksgiving to God please sign up on the chart on the usher’s table outside the sanctuary. Each offering for flowers cost $80。
Rev. Ting will be attending the CCACA committee meeting at Brock University in St. Catherines, Ontario, from June 29-July 1. He will stay at St. Catherines to attend the Joint Missions Conference from July 1-5
We are delighted to announce the wedding of our church member Ho Lik Iu and Rachael Yiu, today in Bellvue Manor at 4pm. May the Lord wonderfully bless this new couple in their lives together, bringing glory to His Name.
Others:
Alliance Joint Mission Conference, “All for Jesus, Jesus for All.” will be held on July 1-5 at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. Brothers & sisters are encouraged to attend the day program ($50per person) as an outing and show support to world mission and missionaries around the world. Please contact Betty Chin for registration.
Urbana 2009 early bird registration is due on June 30! There are currently eight $250 per person subsidy available. Those who wish to apply for subsidy must first register and pay the full amount with Urbana, then fill out an application form for reimbursement.
