FAMILY MATTERS

  1. Welcome to our worship. If you are a visitor with us today or this is your first time at Jaffray Church, please take time to complete the new comers’ card and let us know about you.

  2. All baptized Christians are welcome to partake the Holy Communion.

  3. Junior Choir has practice today in the choir room from 12:15-1pm.

  4. Prayer meetings are held on Wednesdays from 8-9pm in the church office.

  5. Aletheia & Hosanna Fellowship will be attending the Missions Conference this Friday in the church sanctuary starting at 8pm. See you there!

  6. Baptismal Classes will be held today from 12-4pm and Friday November 27 from 5-8pm (Pastor Arthur’s office). Interviews will be held on Friday December 11 from 7-8pm..

  7. The church’s Annual Missions Conference will take place on Nov. 20 -22. Our speaker will be Dr. Matthew Koh, President of MSI Professional Services. The theme is “Best Job for the Rest of My Life”. Friday evening program will be at 8:00 p.m. in English, with Cantonese translation. Saturday evening program will be at 8:00 p.m. in Mandarin, with Cantonese translation. Sunday morning: 9:00 a.m. English Service and 10:30 a.m. Chinese Service (Mandarin with Cantonese translation). There will also be mission display booths from different missions agencies as well as from the Longlac and Panama STMs. Please plan to attend.   8. The Annual General Meeting will be held on Sunday Nov. 29, at 12:15pm, for the election of the 2010 elders and approval of the 2010 fiscal budget. The six (6) nominees put forth by the Nominating Committee are Caleb Chau, Belinda Cheng, Herman Mo, Danny Soo, Daniel MT Wong, David Wong. A Pre-AGM consultation meeting will be held on Nov. 22 at 12:15pm at Room B7. All members are encouraged to attend. The proposed Agenda and Active Membership List have been posted on the Elders Board Bulletin Board. If there are additional nominations from the congregation, or additional suggested agenda items for the Elder Board’s consideration, please submit them to Alfred Mo or Tammy Wong in accordance with the JACA By-Laws on or before 9:00am, November 22. If there are questions regarding the membership list, please contact Alfred Mo. Please remember these meetings and the nominees in your prayers.

  9. A new Sunday School term will be starting in December! Please indicate your choices on the bulletin insert, and hand your forms to Holly Chau, Jonathan Mui, or Stephanie Yip today after service. If you have any questions, please contact Holly.

Others:

  1. It is that time of the year again for Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. Please plan to fill a shoebox for under-privileged children worldwide. An Operation Christmas Child shoebox will be handed to every child at Jaffray. Every parent is encouraged to help their child put together at least one box for this year’s drive. Our goal is to make 75 boxes! Please bring your boxes back to the church office by TODAY and do not forget to enclose a cheque for $7 per box to help cover the shipping.
