FAMILY MATTERS

  1. Welcome to our worship. If you are a visitor with us today or this is your first time at Jaffray Church, please take time to complete the new comers’ card and let us know about you.

  2. Prayer meetings are held on Wednesdays from 8-9pm in the church office.

  3. Hosanna Fellowship program: CELLGROUP! Bring your sweats and sneakers and be @SAVIO@8PM! I don’t know what’s going on, but maybe Jesus ^2 does!!! :)

  4. Aletheia Fellowship has another campus survival night! Program will begin at 8pm in the church. Invite your friends! See you there! ;)

  5. Mosaic 2 will be meeting at Jacqueline’s home on Saturday Feb. 6 at 4:30pm. Come join us for time of prayer, study in the Word, and food! Please inform Jacqueline if you are planning to come.

  6. To celebrate Family Day, the first day of Chinese New Year, and Valentine’s Day, there will be a special program held on Sunday Feb. 14 from 11:45-12:15pm in the sanctuary. All are invited to come. There will be a light snack after the program. Come join us! Family Ministry would like to encourage brothers and sisters to invite other families to have meals together at their homes during this Family Day holiday, to enjoy the time together.

  7. 2010 Church Directory –Please verify the draft copy on the table outside, and initial it after checking within TODAY. If you prefer not having your address shown on the directory, please indicate on the draft. Newcomers joined our church in the last year are encouraged to fill in the details on the table provided, so that your information can be included in the new directory.

  8. The C&MA has announced this week that the Global Emergency Response Fund for Haiti will be given to “Food for the Hungry” and “Samaritan’s Purse” to help them with relief and rebuild efforts. The next step of the C&MA is to help the more than 20 C&MA churches in Haiti in the rebuilding process. Jaffray will be taking a special offering on February 7 for the Fund (please write cheques to “Jaffray Alliance Church”, designated to “Haiti”). The amount collected will be matched by the federal government. You may also give directly to the Fund through the C&MA website (www.cmacan.org).

  1. Teens Conference 2010 is right around the corner! TC Coaches training will be held on Saturday Feb. 6 from 1-3pm at Toronto Chinese Methodist Church (Warden & 401).   2. “Couples’ Night Out” with author and speaker Phil Callaway and artist Jay Calder will be held on Wednesday February 10 at Portico Community Church (1814 Barbertown Road, Mississauga) at 7:30pm and on Saturday February 13 at Global Kingdom ministries (1250 Markham Road, Scarborough) at 7pm.   3. Tyndale Seminary presents: “Life on the Narrow Road” with Larry Crabb on February 12 (7-9pm at Tyndale) and 13 (9-4pm at The People’s Church). This is a FREE event designed to inspire Christians to carefully consider the lives God has called them to live by looking at the seven most important questions God has chosen to answer in order to help them find and walk that narrow road.
