6. A new Sunday School term starts this week! This term’s (March - May 2010) class lists are posted on the bulletin board located at the entrance of the White House. Classroom locations can be found in the bulletin. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the class assignments, or if you have not yet registered for a class, please speak with Holly Chau.”.

7. The monthly fellowship luncheon will be held next Sunday at 12pm. Moasic Groups, Alethiea & Hosanna Fellowships will do the setting up and clear up of the lunch program.

8. Annual General Meeting will be held at 12:15pm on Sunday March 28. All members are encouraged to attend. The agenda and active membership list have been posted on the bulletin board, and 2009 financial report will be made available on Sunday March 14. A consultation meeting will be held on March 21 at 12:15pm at B7and all members are welcomed. Additional proposed agenda items for consideration by the Board should be submitted in writing to Daniel MT Wong, Vice Chair, or David Wong, Secretary, on or before 9am on March 21.

9. Do you have a burden to serve hungry worshippers on Sundays from 10:30-11am? We are currently looking for volunteers! If you want to help, sign up with Amanda Yu today in the foyer right after the service.

10. The Day Light Saving time will begin next early Sunday morning. Please move our clock forward before we go to bed this coming Saturday night.

11. Pastors Paul and Arthur will be leaving for the C&MA’s General Assembly in Turkey. Pastor Paul’s trip will be from March 11-26, while Pastor Arthur’s will be from March 11-22. Please pray for their travel safety. Ask the Lord to reignite the Alliance’s passion to reach the lost!

Brief report from the Elder’s Board meeting:

1. We thank the Lord that many brothers and sisters have accepted the invitation to be deacons. Commissioning of deacons will take place on Sunday February 7 during the services.

2. Summer retreat will be held from July 16-18. Planning is well on its way.

3. Two pastoral search committees has been established to look for assistant pastors for both Chinese and English congregation, respectively.

4. The tentative church direction for 2010 is in the area of spiritual growth and renewal. The specific theme will be discussed at the next Board meeting.

5. In response to the Haiti earthquake, the Board has set aside a donation of $10000 for the C&MA’s Global Emergency Response Fund. The next steps for Jaffray’s response will be determined in the near future.

5. English Winter Retreat will be held at Fair Havens Bible Conference Center (Beaverton, ON) January 1st-3rd, 2010. Those who are not able to attend the entire retreat are invited to come in on Sunday for worship (11am). There will be NO English Worship / Sunday School at Jaffray. However, Children Ministry will run as usual. Pastor Matthew will be at Jaffray on Sunday. Winter Retreat information sheet can be obtained on the usher’s table in the west-foyer.

6. During the month of December, Caring Department will be collecting non-perishable food (such as baby powder milk and baby food, canned meat, canned fish, canned beans, canned fruits and vegetables, spaghetti and sauce, boxed milk, peanut butter, rice) for the food bank. We invite all to bring them to church and drop them off at the collecting boxes at the East and West entrances.

7. In the month of Dec. and Jan. Children Ministry will be collecting donations of old Children NIV Bibles for our children to use during Sunday School and Promiseland. Any donations can be given to Kimberly Pak.

8. If there are any who would like to make offerings for flower arrangement in one of Sunday Services in the 1st half of 2010 as a way to express thanksgiving to God, please sign up on the chart on the usher’s table outside the sanctuary. Each offering for flowers cost $80.

9. New 2010 Church calendar has been printed. Each family takes one copy, please.
