Joint Service will be held on August 20 at 10:30am and English Holy Communion service will be held on August 27 at 9am.
Trail Mix Camp variety show will be held today in the Fellowship Hall at 10:30am. All staff, 1/2 staff, helpers, Trail Mix participants and their parents are invited to attend.
Aletheia Fellowship Program: Trail Mix Party this Friday at 8pm at Church.
Hosanna Fellowship Program: Bible Study this Friday at 8pm at Church.
English Prayer meetings are held every Wednesday at 5:30pm before Light on a Hill. Come out and pray for God’s leading!
Light On A Hill: Come join us on Wednesday evenings at 7pm all through the summer. We will be meeting at the outside stage, weather permitting, if it rains, please join us in the sanctuary.
Church Membership Meeting will be held next Sunday at 12:15pm, right after Chinese service/English Sunday School. We will elect 2 church members to the Elders Nominating Committee. All church members are required to attend. The agenda of the meeting are posted in the bulletin board upstairs and downstairs. If there are additions to the agenda, please submit to elder Jody Chu in writing before the two services (Aug 6) for announcement. A list of active church members, has been posted on the eastside bulletin board upstairs. Please verify your name on the list; for any queries, please contact elder Jody Chu or Daniel M.T. Wong.
A chartered school bus will be taking Hosanna and Aletheia campers to Edgewood camp in Guelph on Friday August 18 (departing at 6pm, church parkinglot) and back to TJCAC on Sunday August 20 (arriving ~3:30pm, church parkinglot). The cost is $5 / person (round trip). Participants are asked to sign up in the west-end foyer after the English service. To improve our language skill and interest in Mandarin, Outreach Department (Mandarin ministry) will start a basic (beginner) Mandarin class on September 10 at 1:30pm for 13 classes. This course is offered to those who would like to learn the basic skill of pronunciation and simple conversation of Mandarin. For those who are interested, please contact Janet Siu on2view@hotmail.com or 416-850-2247. This class is restricted to 15 students. Please apply as soon as possible. The cost of this class is $20.
In doing our part to save the environment, Jaffray church is now equipped with non-organic, organic, and recycled waste bins. While at church, please dispose waste into the appropriate bins.
