FAMILY MATTERS

1. Welcome to our worship. If you are a visitor with us today or this is your first time at Jaffray Church, please take time to complete the new comers’ card and let us know about you.

2. All baptized Christians are welcome to partake the Holy communion.

3. “Sweet Hour of Prayer” will be held every Wednesday from 8-9pm at the church office. Those who cannot make it to the office are asked to pray on their own. If you wish to subscribe to the list of prayer needs, please contact prayer@tjcac.org .

4. Aletheia Fellowship will be having small groups this week! Your leader will contact you :)

5. Junior choir will be starting their summer break! Registrations for the next year will begin in August!

6. Praise the Lord! We raised $650 for our short-term mission teams at the May 23 Victoria Day festivities. May the Lord use this money to bless those who are heading out this summer!

7. The Awakening: Please come out next weekend to support The Awakening as they take on Tofu (June 26, 2:00 pm Wigmore Park) and Pillars (June 27, 6:00 pm Parkway Forest).

9. 2010 Trailmix Music Day Camp, July 12 - 30 and Aug 9 - 27. Grades 1-9. Registrations are ready. Please go to www.tjcac.org/english/trailmix for the application form and details.

10. Summer Retreat will be held from July 23-25, 2010 at UOIT in Oshawa. Registration is already underway. Early bird deadline is June 20; final deadline is July 4. Please sign up in the East foyer immediately after English service or Chinese service.

4. Aletheia Fellowship will be having REC at Savio starting promptly at 8PM. Come with your game face and lots of friends!

5. Junior choir will have practices today in the choir room from 12:15-1:15pm.

6. Fellowship Luncheon will be held today at 12:15pm. Prayer Net Group & Yin Lai Women Group will do the setting up and clear-up of the lunch program.

7. The 2010 STM team to Panama has been formed. The team will be conducting VBS classes, workshops, evangelistic programs, visitations and follow-up work in Panama City, Aguadulce and Santiago, Panama. They will be going from July 30- Aug 11. The eight team members from TJCAC are: Cynthia So (Team Leader), Richard Poon (Ass’t Team Leader), Rev. Paul Ting, Teresa Poon, David Chan, Karen Phung, Anna Leung and Anthony Chow. They will be joined by 14 brothers and sisters from other churches. A prayer support sign-up sheet is posted on the Mission bulletin board at the west entrance. Please sign-up to pray and to support their preparation as well as their trip in Panama

10. Praise the Lord! Jimmy Zhen from the Canadian Chinese School of Theology at Tyndale has officially joined our pastoral staff in June. His will be ministering in the Cantonese & Mandarin congregation. Praise the Lord! The government has granted us funding to hire seven summer students this year.

11. The Board of Elders has approved the hiring committee’s recommendations to hire the following people:

• a. Outreach Coordinator – Jessica Chin (starts June 22)
• b. Children Ministry Coordinator – Stephany Lau (starts June 14)
• c. Church Information Promotions Officer – Tiffany Chin (start date TBA)
• d. Trail Mix Camp Music Director – May Hao (starts June 21)
• e. Band Sectional Instructor / Children Counsellor – Gala Castanos (start June 21)
• f. Band Sectional Instructor / Youth Counsellor #1 – Tristan Poon (starts June 21)
• g. Band Sectional Instructor / Youth Counsellor #2 – Andrea Vaughan (starts June 21)

5. Junior choir will have our last two practices today and 13th in the choir room from 12:15-1:15pm.

6. Fellowship Luncheon will be held next Sunday at 12:15pm. Prayer Net Group & Yin Lai Women Group will do the setting up and clear-up of the lunch program.

7. A new Sunday School term starts today! Please check the board just inside the White House to confirm your class and location. If you have any questions, or have not yet signed up for a class, please speak with Holly Chau.

9. The GM department is looking for people to help with developing and maintaining the church website. Technical knowledge is NOT required. Those interested please contact Richard Poon asap.

10. Do you have a burden to serve hungry worshippers on Sundays from 10:30-11am? We are currently looking for volunteers! If you want to help, sign up with Amanda Yu today.
