Ministering to Children & Youth
There is a never-ending demand for servants such as teachers, mentors, shepherds, and counsellors in the Children & Youth Ministries at Jaffray. However the church must do due diligence in making sure those who come into contact with children and youth are not at risk to harm them in any way. Therefore all volunteers, part-time and full time staff who wish to serve or are currently serving in these areas of ministry must go through regular police reference checks. If you have a burden to serve in the Children & Youth Ministries at Jaffray, follow these steps:
Speak to the pastoral staff or deacon in charge of the ministry. If there is an availability and he / she feels you are suitable, set up an interview.
If you are planning to serve in the children’s ministry, read the policies here.
Fill out the applicable application forms.
Perform a police background check. Instructions available here.
Once you have received the results from the police background check, bring it with you to the interview along with all the completed applicable forms.
You will be notified concerning whether or not you have been accepted into service as soon as the decision is made.
If you have any questions / concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the pastoral staff or deacons in charge. We look forward to serving our Lord Jesus Christ with you!
