Trail Mix Day Camp

Trail Mix is a dynamic and exciting children’s camp that happens every summer at TJCAC. Kids can spend up to 4 weeks in a supportive, child-friendly and safe environment with other appointed camp counsellors, counsellors in training, and other kids. There are many activities for the kids, whether learning karate, going swimming, going hiking, visiting local sites, or learning practical ways to apply faith in their lives.

This year trailmix will be offering a variety of learning opportunities for children and youth from grades 1 to 8, such as music, sports, academic lessons, and classes that meet their special interests. Instruments will not be provided. For those interested in the music section, they may rent from various music stores. Music stores in the neighbourhood provide opportunities for children to rent out instruments for a month to try out. We can provide lessons for children allowing them to better understand their interest in certain fields. Leadership training for grades 7 and 8s will be available for those wishing to volunteer in future years. They will learn how to manage their time, be organized, communicate, team work, and other skills that will improve their leadership. Note that grade 7 and 8s will have a separate program from grades 1 to 6.

Registrations are available, you can download them or pick them up from the church office. Along with the registration form there is also a survey that you need to fill out so that we can continue to improve our camp for YOU! Once we have heard from you, we will put the surveys together to arrange a schedule that will best interest you children.

Trail Mix是充滿活力及令人雀躍的，是翟輔民宣道會每年夏天都會舉行的兒童日營。參加的兒童可以和我們委派的導師及其他孩子，在一個滿有支持、童真友愛與安全的環境中歡度4個星期。營中有很多有趣的活動，有空手道及游泳學習、遠足、參觀和學習實際的方法，以應用在日常生活裡。

今年Trail Mix會提供多種的學習機會給一至八年級的孩子及少年人，如音樂、運動、學術課目，迎合他們的興趣。(本堂將不會提供樂器，參加樂器學習者可自行於琴行租賃，教會附近的琴行可以出租一個月樂器給有興趣人士嘗試。)

我們會提供領袖訓練給希望日後參與Trail Mix義工的第七及八年級少年人，他們會學習到時間管理、組織、溝通、隊工及其他技能，以改善領導技巧。(請注意：第七及八年級的課程與一至六年級的課程是不同的。)
